Nikken PiMag Gravity Water Filtration Unit - $100

Posted in Kitchen Stuff on October 16th, 2006

This unit is for sale on Ebay for $300. Check the link here. Nikken says you only have to replace the filter once every five years! Replacement filters cost $25. This is MUCH higher quality water than you’d get from a water service and WAY cheaper!

Details on the unit:

Read Quick Reference PDF Here.

A countertop unit that provides a supply of filtered PiMag water on demand.

Water flows through a carbon medium, ion exchange resin and zeolite. Pi ceramics are in the filter. Final stage filtration consists of a bed of mineral stones, like the stones that provide natural filtering and minerals in streams and rivers. Nikken Magnetic Technology completes the process, as the water passes through a charged field surrounding the Aqua Pour tap.

It can help restore the balance of fluids. Pimag water is also less acidic than some tap water which is more in harmony with your natural fluids.

  • Portable & economical
  • Features several stages of filtration that work naturally by gravity flow
  • Ionized minerals assist in reducing water hardness and help to regulate the acid/alkaline (pH) balance

Mineral elements produce pi water, a discovery known in Japan as “the water of life”

Mr. Coffee Espresso Machine - $20

Posted in Kitchen Stuff on October 13th, 2006

I’ve actually got two of these available. One is brand new, never used, $25. The used one is $20. I use this thing every day. Screw Starbucks. I go to Little Italy, get a can of Illy espresso beans for $10. I can make 30 latte’s with that and they taste a hell of a lot better than Starbucks. Takes less than five minutes to make two lattes. Also, got the bean grinder available for $10.

So my mom gave me this as a present. It runs for 9 minutes and super-saturates the water with air. It does make the water taste better and it’s supposedly healthier.

Presto Pressure Cooker - $30

Posted in Kitchen Stuff on October 13th, 2006

I think this is a 2 quart pressure cooker but I’m not sure. Just got it last spring so it’s in great shape. Has the tray in the bottom too. Great for making stews and soups. Also, if you’ve never used one, you can cook a pot roast in a quarter of the time it takes to bake one.
